Stuff you will need!
- Adriano Zumbo Orange Flourless Cake
- 4 medium oranges
- 5 eggs
- 200g chocolate (63%-70% cocoa solids)
- 180ml cream
- 20cm cake pan
How to make these tasty treats
Prepare oven, cake pan and oranges as directed on box. In a saucepan, heat 1/3 cup (80ml) cream until boiling then remove from heat. Add 100g chocolate and stir until smooth. Set aside to cool.
In a mixing bowl, whip 2 eggs on high speed until stiff, then fold them through the chocolate mix. Add remaining 3 eggs to the mixing bowl then prepare orange cake batter following directions on the box. Finally, add approximately ½ cup of orange cake batter the chocolate mix and fold through.
Pour about ½ cup of orange batter into the center of the pan and let it spread slightly on its own. Pour about 1/3 cup of chocolate batter in the center of the orange batter. It will push out the other batter and, as it sits, will also spread itself. Repeat the above technique, alternating between the two batters until all the batter has been used up. Bake for 55-65 minutes and cool cake as directed on the box.
Following directions on the box, glaze the cooled cake and prepare orange wedges. Finally, heat remaining 100ml cream until it just boils, add remaining 100g of chocolate and stir until smooth. Pour over glazed cake. Place cake in fridge until ganache has set. To finish cake arrange segments and rind on top.
